The tribal songs, Pattachitra songs sung by artisans same as they were sung in the old days, the purpose being story telling in the form of prose & poetry along with the hand painted vegetable dyed pictures made the narration more clear thus solving the purpose of Pattachitra which had an educational, moral value to it. This art form must be preserved as there are very few artisans who practice it as the monetary value is negligible, it’s our duty to preserve it as it’s on the verge of extinction.
