With the onset of festive season and conclusion of many but end or conclusion of one could be the onset of an another fresh new start may it be Eid, Onam or Ganesh Chaturthi, or in our day to day lives.
Few days ago the fever had taken its toll with the temperatures rising high in the Indian markets as Eid and Onam were knocking the doors of our inseparable community. Onam the harvest festival is marked by different cultural symbolic features like the native cultural dance, the Onam sadya or the famous Onam platter, the floral decorative carpets called Pookulam or Onapookulam are indispensable must dos in this festival, celebrated in the month of chingam, its believed the king of asuras the mahabalis visit from Patala or the underground world and diety vamanas visit to his disciples followed by rich cuisines different dance forms, boat race and other cultural forms of recreation.
