The most legal part is that even if the colonizers and developers are selling it for their bread and butter, are we nonsense to buy them aren’t we ourselves responsible for our own devastations, why to blame those colonizers, if we start to avoid these transactions then obviously the destruction will cease atleast to certain extent. Queen of hills was also no exception, the breath taking tranquility it provided few years back is just nowhere to be felt, the mountain heads are almost bald and flat with those nuisance jungle of bricks and cement, the Kempty falls is just no more than a painful flow of a narrow stream of water which was once an extravagant water fall and every corner and you name it you have it is but littered with that devil called plastic or polythene, which was destroyed by GC’s time as much as it could have and ofcourse the places are all but painted beautifully and painstakingly by spits of guthka or( chewing tobacco), GC wonders sometimes where are we Indians going, the civic or the common sense is not at the least present and again, we dispersed plenty of seed in the foothills and in the terrace of the mountains and just wherever we could found it suitable for its germination, also had face on face discussions with the gram –village heads which was meticulously being planned by GC’s reliable sources beforehand for the development of this race called human being and emphasis to be laid more on the girl child part, no matter what these bunch of politicians say or promise but on ground levels literally nothing has been done and an ample of funds and manpower has to be executed to bring atleast little difference in the lives of these people, and the pitiful thing is that if some natural calamity occurs then these localites ( garhwalis) would be the major sufferers and not those vampires who will suck every penny you have and fly to Delhi or some other metro, for his own materialistic benefit thus the bottom line is the localities has to be empowered to stop these parasites from destroying the natural harmony of these regions and to maintain a natural and balanced ecosystem for our own happy, healthy and successful survival as life is not just about eating and sleeping but it has more to it and every moment we can add a new meaning to it.
GC talked with the locals and even empowered them with their rights but found out that they are also helpless and burdened with the hardships of everyday life and the high rise of day to day commodities, they know what is right and what’s wrong but knowingly or unknowingly they give up to make their ends meet, as for predominantly agro based livelihood one or the other is missing like no water or electricity, money power the global warming part and endless problems, finding no options they sell out their lands for some momentary comfort for that we have to stand and take each steady step at a time…
