To our utter amazement idols of multimillion shapes and sizes ranging from many feet high to even medium ones and all of insurmountable glow and glamour as if anytime they will speak to you and express her feelings imparting knowledge, most of the themes were nature based or some way or the other related to nature and how to protect and conserve it, finest of curves every fine line depicting those different facial expressions, every feature very speakable eyes glittering with the strength and power of knowledge, facial features just so very captivating in every mood and sense over all the things were specifically mind boggling and mesmerizing, it was casting a spell on who ever visited the site, and most importantly all the idols were made up of plain soil and no POP or plaster of paris which cannot assimilate in nature so every bit was very eco-friendly to its core.
The bottom line was which GC noticed was that though all the pomp, glitz and glamour the SARASWATI PUJA of AMBICA KALNA or may it be JAGADHATRI PUJA of CHANDANAGAR, it’s also holds a world class appeal to it but the basic thing is it creates such huge amounts of employment to all the localities, basic craftsmen, artisans thus it has taken the face of a huge industry the best part is all the native people are involved in this industry thus improving the basic health and education and the basic well being of that local place through good nutritious food and hygiene, thus improving the life status, which indeed deserves a great round of applause from GC itself and even all the people who have seen this puja themselves or the readers who get a tiny glimpse of the festivity.
GC had meetings and talks to those people behind the scenes and tried to eradicate even if some problems from their lives by donating and even asking them to join us if we get them contracts from different metros outside Kolkata during the other festivity times, the required datas were collected for further collaboration.
