From here GC took its turn towards the home of the most legendary laureates of Indian history and abroad that is FATHER OF LITERATURE SHRI RABINDRANATH TAGORE or as lovingly called as ROBI THAKUR as pronounced in BOLPUR which is situated in the rich red soils and amidst of huge greenery THE DISTRICT OF BIRBHUM in WEST BENGAL, from BURDWAN there are buses and trains at regular intervals of time and on the way we can enjoy the scenic beauty of rural Bengal who predominantly lives in its DHAN or PADDY FIELDS, as far as the eye could see sea of land carpeted green with paddy, in some places people men and women drenched in full mud till knee deep were busy planting rice saplings which are as such held in clusters of many plantlets and with the aid of fingers sowed in the water drenched soil which is a prime requisite for rice crop which is even the staple diet of Bengal, and in between the paddy fields were dispersed with huge Date Palm trees whose extract is used to make a mouth watering delicacy the palm jiggery, and from which different sweet meats are made, the life and the people were so simple headed busy in their own hectic schedules, cluster of huts could be visualized every here and there and in their backyards the huts had their PUKOORS OR THE SMALL PONDS/LAKES where they kind of get along with their entire water related activities ranging from washing to cleaning and even their another staple diet the rich source of protein and that is the fish, the ducks swimming in utter joy, the goats and their families bleating, the cows meowing every here and there but everything in utter peace but strictly in sync with nature…
