During the lock down the major impetus I derived to be on top of the world is through nature, we gazed at the spell bounding sunsets & sunrises till the setting sun dissolved into the sky & we thought we are immensely lucky to see these magical moments & gained power.
People are too busy in their smart phones searching for friends in so called ‘fakebook’ but no time to gaze at the sky, the sun, the moon or the stars, the puffy clouds, feeling the breeze caressing our ear lobes as if whispering something & declaring ”I LOVE YOU”, poor they moreover me & my princess bet for different shapes of the clouds as to who could go close to imagining the different shapes sometimes they are sugar floss the next moment a stallion.
Dropping pebbles in still ponds is our favourite sport when ripples run one after another we giggle & laugh out in joy. Kites also soar high in the sky we feel the wings of freedom the twist comes when it dwindles in the mid-air we are over joyed. Pre-monsoon thunder showers is our another hilarious moments when the water laden sky roars gurgles & farts, the lightning is the nerve impulse my daughter tries hard to capture it in her camera but alas she rewards herself by saying ”better next time”.
Croaking frogs makes us think what on earth are they talking about? Maybe is there a Lokshaba session, the glow worms play hide & seek, the incessant droplets of water takes us down the memory lane and we share numerous sweet-sour memories, climbing trees takes an upper hand where we gather courage for each other through chanting, the innumerable sunbirds wet and sucking nectar gives a very salon kind of feeling as if lots of ‘gel’ has been applied over them, we literally fight for each pellet of ‘gems’ and bet on which color we have gulped, the green blades of the grass with that crowning water droplet makes us think who has calculated the symmetrical geometry, the balance, the preciseness and what not, drenching in the downpour is an out of this world experience, jumping in the poodles never tires us. All these things have captivated us to the brim and we are madly loving it…
