Out of the many, one department that qualifies itself in raising the revenue to nurture the different crucial departments along with strengthening the financial map of our country and we, as an extended family really feel privileged to earn our bread and butter through this department as this department is not just for ‘us’ but for the ‘whole nation’ or to be precise entire nation is a huge joint family for this department, as it stands shoulder to shoulder with the commoner and relieving the burdens of taxes the enigmatic department is ‘Customs and Central Excise’ and now GST (Goods and Services Tax) which clarifies itself by announcing precisely ‘ONE NATION, ONE TAX, ONE MARKET’…
The present day scenario of our ‘Sanskardhani’ is represented by our proud off Jabalpur Commissionerate the GST office, at Russel Chowk now this huge ship is controlled by the intellectual all rounder the commissioner Mr. P K Agrawal, the other sailors being the JCs , ACs, senior superintendents, inspectors, etc not to forget the other clerical and administrative sailors, our captain of the GST ship Mr. Agrawal knows how to steer the ship through turbulent waters, how to manage in high and low tides, how to face terrible gales and hurricanes that comes on its sailing maiden voyage, out of these numerous vibgyor shades of victory the first virgin anniversary of GST was celebrated with much pomp and glamour, which was strictly monitored by the multifaceted captain…
The ceremony was organized by the captain along with his super heroic sailors, the ceremony forwarded with various meticulously planned programme, the chief guest being the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court, Mr. Hemant Gupta, along with other dignitaries from varied crucial departments…
The next move was of GST walk or the ‘GST JAGRUKTA RALLY’ participated by students of various colleges along with the high authority dignitaries, as from the very day GST has been implemented, multiple meetings and conferences were carried out in different schools and colleges along with many other educational institutions to clarify all the basic doubts and suffice the queries regarding GST.
How can the GST family be not ‘eco-friendly’ to commemorate the ecological drive, to save nature the extended family took over to ‘tree plantation’ in ‘Jilhari Ghat’ (one of the Ghats of Narmada River) along with to take forward the message of hygiene and cleanliness in our surroundings and in our neighborhood as well…
Sports is also not to be left behind as the officers need to be really active, always on their toes to serve the nation events like cricket, football or say marathon is successfully conducted by the captain of the GST ship from time on time even the ‘Yoga Day’ was celebrated in a well defined manner…
Even lending hand to needy is never looked back thus our proud GST extended hands in adopting a ‘Government School’ by furnishing it externally and renovating it along with furnishing it with the much needed desks and benches along with the other prime requisites, the wards were taken care of by all the members of the department and provided with the much needed amenities along with their diet has been taken care, with basic medical and hygiene facilities.
May our department touch newer horizons fetching fresh new cherished moments this year and for the infinite years to come with a holistic developmental progressive approach towards nation and of course towards life…
