There are even vocal intolerance so as to say there are certain words too including certain names that have a similar effect and we are very familiar with those names like kalburgi, pansare dabholkar, as soon as they are uttered in a public platform these names are not seen as protest against brutality but a political statement made by the so called liberal intellectuals.
Are our politics overtaking our humanism? No matter where we align ourselves along the political spectrum, how can we as Indians and first and formost as human beings, not be disturbed by the brutality of these killings? Yes we all have heard and will hear that we are far more tolerant than our neighboring countries, but then where it is, even though we are the strongest democracy in existence, can we say that we have no weakness in common?
