From Nothing To Everything, From Clay To Supernatural! [Part-2]

To glorify the life of those artisans with whom GC (Glucose Club) was connected before even found out the recent developments in the making of those spell bounding sculptures and had a tee to tee with them and again confronted with many problems that they face during their life time, even groups of artisans has come up from far and near places to make the idols like one group from (Mednipore, Panshkuda) – Mr Prabir Raj Pandit, Tapan Chakraborthy, Suman Chakroborthy, Prabhat, etc and many more like them has come signing an amount of Rs 80,000 for the idol to GC’s surprised that they have even brought soil of Ganges to Madhya Pradesh to impart that finesse look to the idols and during the other time of the year they make idols in Kolkata or in far and near places later they will move to Pune for the making of Kali just wonder for few pennies they are working so hard and under needless to mention the adverse conditions that they face on a daily basis, then local artists are also busy with their stuff to support their families and working day night and day out, GC’s major concern is just that what can we do to glorify their image and give them at least a better life to live for.

As it has been analysed by GC that in Kolkata and other neighboring states as well where committees organize high budgeted pujas the organizers even share their stuff with blind school children, old age homes, in the education of girls and much much more as this is taking the form of an organized sector targeting a whooping amount of 50 crores thus generating employment for innumerable people and thinking of their well being so that’s a very new beginning and this will also showcase this festivity on a global platform and making it a universal global carnival thus attracting guest and tourist from different countries.

There by generating revenue for our mother land and the concept of one globe one unit will be successfully propagated that way but government also has to hold hands and define this sector from an unorganized to an organized one and spend at least some part of the revenue for the well being of these artists and to promote their oncoming generation to take up this task of imparting life to a mere river silt and soil to the oncoming generations of these artists will be reluctant to continue with this art of sculpture making and it will be on the verge of extinction and no technology can make it for sure or any robot won’t give that perfection to clay what a human hand can, and more so ever that art is seen majorly in India and in little forms in neighboring Asian countries so it is high time that we adhere to our roots firmly and love this art of forming clay in to live art form or it will vanish in few years time, so come join thoughts with GC and take a few steps in revitalizing the lives of those who are such great artists, go watch them in the making process and you will see the difference in you and can feel it then you will have more respect for these people along with the idols that they are creating you will see everything with a different perspective then come lets smudge our hands in mud and clay and feel it as ultimately we all have to sublimate in it no matter what so why not feel the ultimate destination yourself feeling the vibes in it.
