To See The Sea…!

To add one more mile to the travelogue of GC this time our ‘dizzy’ along with ‘Mammoth’ (the loving vehicles of GC ) we decided to peep into the fathomless sea so we coined the term to ‘see the sea’, there was also study of ‘Marine Ecosystem’ and its biodiversities and to measure the levels of pollution, the habitats of many a micro and macro ecosystems of varied marine wild life, the food chain, and also the human beings who live in complete sync with their ecosystem of course doing their stuff of spreading more litter with that extra dash of filth…

So we planned the trip to ‘GANGA SAGAR’ but then the twist took place as usual and we headed towards ‘DIGHA’ to see and feel the wild roars of ‘BAY OF BENGAL’, to reach there we had to cross the places like Burdwan, Kolaghat (a diversion from Kharagpur) & Contai, all along green just lush green and of course via Kolkata…, the trip was fantabulous stopping hither and thither to answer natures call to speculate the surroundings needless to mention the beautiful lush green surroundings long and broad paddy fields intercepted with long coconut, betel nut palm trees of course Palmyra palms were also in abundance, the shedded cottages of betel leaves or in India commonly called as ‘pan’, the back drop of huge blue sky dispersed with thick white puffy clouds here and there, every 100 yards or so there was a pond or a lake, followed by huge fishery ponds along with aerated water tanks for prawn cultivation, women clad in rustic six meter sarees worn even in their own comfortable ways, oil laden hairs tied into a tight knot busy working in the fields children in full merry enjoying their IPL or even ISL to the fullest in an empty rice field gaining a whole lot of pleasure even what the real players do full carefree life, the small towns or villages to be precise that came on the way were sleepy under the scorching sun inside their thatched roof huts, small tiny shops selling sweet meats, fruits etc similar images as one would find in any of the old rustic Indian comics like chandamama etc, it’s a book that was published way back in INDIA (First Issue: ‎1947 Final issue‎: ‎2013) and as I have read plenty many of them I or could very well correlate to its contents to the real contents of life, people who were travelling in two wheels or even pedestrians were least bothered to sun protect them I was laughing at the fairness creams then who try soooooooo hard to rule the crowd through advertising…

to be continued…
